The business was founded by the present owner’s grandfather, Mr Daniel McAlister in 1904, his son Mr Daniel J McAlister took over in 1964 and built up the business until his death in 1979. The present owner, Mr Daniel G McAlister is now the third generation of this local family to provide a trusted service to the local community.
For three generations Daniel McAlister & Son have provided a trusted service to the community handling the sale for all types of properties, farms and sites. They have also gained a respected presence in livestock markets within the Northern Ireland livestock markets and conduct weekly sales of sheep and cattle at Armoy Market.
Daniel McAlister & Son acquired a former equestrian centre at 15 Coolkeeran Road, Armoy which extended to approximately 10,000 sq.ft. of covered space with 7 acres of parking and paddocks. The premises were modernised and adapted to run livestock sales and machinery sales in the Summer of 2010.
Located in a prime farming area in the centre of North Antrim, only ten miles from Cushendall, six miles from Ballycastle and eight miles from Ballymoney, the market has an excellent catchment area and attracts buyers and sellers from all counties in Northern Ireland. On the property side we sell farms, land, sites, houses etc all over the North of Ireland.
